Kennedy Space Center launches new historic tour

The Kennedy Space Center in Florida recently launched a new tour to enhance the experience for its visitors offering them a new opportunity to get closer to space and history. The new tour – Cape

Canaveral’s Rise to Space tour will offer guests the opportunity to access restricted and historic areas of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

During this tour, a space expert will lead guests through a series of historic launch sites including the Sands Space History Center, the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse and the infamous Hangar C. the tour aims to teach space history enthusiasts even more about America’s early space programmes. Also included in the tour is Launch Pad 34, which is dedicated to the memory of the Apollo 1 crew.

This is just the latest addition to the stellar line-up of NASA exhibits and interactive sights on offer at the Kennedy Space Center. Elsewhere you can experience the G-forces of space travel, climb aboard real space rockets and explore the space shuttle.

There are more than 60 interactive and immersive experiences at the center, offering visitors a chance to see first-hand a shuttle’s complex system and components as well as a shuttle launch simulation which allows visitors to experience the sights, sounds and sensations of a real shuttle launch.
